Joining and Submission

:bulletred: What is Little-Beauties?

We're all about macro and close up photography. So what is Macro? Macro photography is defined as an image projected on the "film plane" being close to the same size as the subject. True macro should have a ratio of 1:1 or greater, and most macro modes on cameras are not actually true macro.

:bulletred: Joining

Anyone is welcome to join and enjoy the beautiful macro photography :aww: requests are automatically approved.

:bulletred: Submission

:bulletblue: You can submit up to 3 pieces per week
:bulletblue: Please try to submit to the correct gallery
:bulletblue: Added textures (fake bokeh etc) and other photomanipulations are not accepted
:bulletblue: A photograph does not have to be 'true' macro but it must at least be a close up and not a subject in full
:bulletblue: Photos should be of good quality with a crisp clear focus, no noise and decent compostion.

If your photo isn't accepted, please don't let that put you off, it just may not be what we're looking for in the group. The group does have a fairly high standard of submission but that just means you should be all the happier when something is accepted :aww:. You're free to try submitting another piece if one doesn't get through

Hi guys, next tutorial is out, this time helping you overcome shallow DOF in macro photography by using a method called photo stacking. It’s not a long one and a cool skill to learn :) hope you enjoy <3

This is the latest reply

It's a social group and there are many of them on DeviantArt.  Instead of getting so wound up about something rather trivial why not put that effort into creating your own group if you find others lacking?  PS. If I wasn't bothered, I wouldn't have taken the time to find some more admins or read your lengthy comments.  Try and have a little understanding and respect, it really doesn't do you any favours when you act like this.  Also, replying to me in the third person is, frankly... odd.

My reply

I'm not getting wound up at all and members work being voted upon is not trivial but fundamental to why groups exist in the first place. My reasons for commenting are purely to make people aware of groups that, in my opinion, are letting their members down. That is why talking in the third person is not odd but I would have thought an obvious communication not to you but to your members themselves.

As for advising me as to where I can best put my efforts: I spend a great deal of time helping and advising people here on dA. I always try to show understanding and respect to the individuals that make this website such a great place to visit.

Nothing would delight me more than for your group to thrive, which is why I bothered to comment in the first place. But for it to do so you need to make sure that the members submissions are looked at and voted upon. On that note it's great to see that you have appointed two new Contributors, well done that's a great step in the right direction.
